The Toledo Rockets (7-4) will be hoping that their top rushing attack can help them defeat the Eastern Michigan Eagles (2-9) on Friday afternoon. The Rockets were able to blow out the Eagles 55-16 at home last year.

Last Wednesday, Toledo had a great defensive performance against Bowling Green and pulled off a 27-20 home win. They forced three Toledo turnovers in that game and held them to just 271 total yards.

Toledo currently has the 16th-best rushing team in the nation by averaging 254.2 rushing yards per game. Running back Kareem Hunt has been able to average 8.3 yards per carry this season and has 1,250 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns. Quarterback Logan Woodside has 1,773 passing yards with 14 touchdowns and only seven picks this season.

Eastern Michigan lost their fifth consecutive game last Saturday when Ball State beat them 45-30 on the road. The Eagles were able to throw for 409 yards in that loss, but they also ended up committing three crucial turnovers.

The Eagles have the third-worst scoring team in the country right now by only putting up 15.1 points per game. Their best offensive player has been running back Reginald Bell Jr., who has rushed for 569 yards and four touchdowns this season. Quarterback Reginald Bell Jr. has completed 60.2 percent of his throws for 1,178 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions.
