On Saturday afternoon, the Tennessee Volunteers (5-6) will try to end their season on a high note when they go up against the Vanderbilt Commodores (3-8). The Volunteers and the Commodores are currently fifth and seventh in the SEC East, respectively.

Last weekend, Tennessee had their two-game winning streak come to an end when Missouri beat them 29-21 in Tennessee. The Volunteers were only able to rush for 53 yards in that loss, and they converted just five of their 15 third down opportunities.

So far this season, the Volunteers are scoring 27.9 points per game while allowing opponents to score 24.5 points per game against them. Running back Jalen Hurd has averaged 4.5 yards per carry this season and has 756 yards with three touchdowns. Wide receiver Pig Howard has a team-high 47 receptions for 534 yards, but he only has one touchdown.

Vanderbilt played poorly on both sides of the ball on Saturday when Mississippi State blew them out 51-0. In that loss, the Commodores rushed for just 49 yards and they turned the ball over three times.

Vanderbilt's offense has struggled all season and is currently one of the worst scoring teams in the country by averaging just 17.2 points per game. Their best offensive player has been freshman running back Ralph Webb, who has rushed for 852 yards this season with three touchdowns.
