The #5 Texas Christian Horned Frogs (8-1) will try to stay in the playoff hunt when they play the Kansas Jayhawks (3-6) on Saturday afternoon. TCU beat Kansas 27-17 on their home field last season.

Last Saturday, TCU was able to win their fourth game in a row when they beat #7 Kansas State 41-20 at home. They had 553 yards of offense in that win and they went the entire game without turning the ball over.

The Horned Frogs have one of the best scoring teams in the nation right now after scoring 47.2 points per game in their first nine games. Quarterback Trevone Boykin has thrown for 2,691 yards this season with 23 touchdowns and four interceptions. Boykin is also one of the team's leading rushers by gaining 546 yards on the ground with seven more touchdowns.

Last weekend, Kansas snapped their five-game losing streak by beating Iowa State 34-14 on their home field. They had 514 yards in that game and they were able to convert 11 of their 20 third down opportunities.

Kansas has had a very hard time getting into the end zone this season, averaging just 18.2 points per game. Freshman running back Corey Avery has had a good season by gaining 538 yards and scoring four touchdowns. Wide receiver Nick Harwell has caught 37 passes for 401 yards and four touchdowns.
