On Saturday, the Syracuse Orange will have a tough time moving to 2-0 as they will face the Central Michigan Chippewas, who have been very impressive through their first two games.

In their first game of the season, Syracuse was able to pull off a double-overtime win over Villanova at home. Syracuse won't be too happy that they only gained a total of 320 yards in their win, but they will be pleased that they didn't turn the ball over in the game.

The Orange's top player in their opening game was senior running back Prince-Tyson Gulley, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries while also catching four passes. Quarterbacks Terrel Hunt and Austin Wilson combined to go 21-for-34 for 183 passing yards in the win.

Central Michigan was solid on both sides of the ball against Purdue in their second game and won 38-17. The Chippewas gained 333 yards in the win and were able to force Purdue into committing three turnovers. Central Michigan has the 33rd-ranked defense right now after giving up just 16.5 points per game.

Chippewas quarterback Cooper Rush has completed 26 of his 42 passes this year for 345 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. Senior running back Thomas Rawls has 276 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 56 carries this season, while wide receiver Anthony Rice has five catches for 81 yards and a score.
