The Stanford Cardinal (6-5) will try to notch their first big win of the season when they take on the #9 UCLA Bruins (9-2) on Friday afternoon. Last season, the Cardinal defeated the Bruins 24-10 on their home field.

Stanford was able to snap their two-game losing skid last weekend when they beat California 38-17 on the road. They had 204 rushing yards in that one while their defense was able to force five California turnovers.

The Cardinal have had issues on offense this season, but they are currently seventh in the country in defense by holding opposing offenses to just 16.5 points per game. Quarterback Kevin Hogan has had a pretty good season by throwing for 2,369 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Senior running back Remound Wright has 488 yards on the season with a team-best six touchdowns.

Last Saturday, UCLA picked up their fifth consecutive win last Saturday by easily defeating USC 38-20 at home. Their defense was as good as it's been all year in that game by holding USC to just 276 total yards and forcing two turnovers.

The Bruins have been able to score 35 points per game this year while only giving up 27.2 points per game. Quarterback Brett Hundley has been excellent this season by completing 72 percent of his passes for 2,873 yards, 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
