On Saturday afternoon, the Stanford Cardinal (5-5) will be hoping that they can end their two-game losing streak when they take on the California Golden Bears (5-5). Last year, the Cardinal were able to easily beat California 63-13.

Stanford scored the first touchdown in their game against Utah last weekend, but that was all they would get as they went on to lose 20-17 in double overtime. They had just 104 passing yards in that loss and they only converted three of their 13 third down opportunities.

Stanford's offense has had a hard time scoring this season, averaging just 23.9 points per game through 10 games. Senior quarterback Kevin Hogan has completed 63.8 percent of his passes this season for 2,155 yards, 15 touchdowns and just seven picks. Wide receiver Devon Cajuste has caught 25 passes for 409 yards and three scores.

California has now lost four out of their last five games after losing 38-30 to USC last Thursday. They gave up 450 yards in that loss, including 371 yards through the air. It was their 11th consecutive loss to USC.

The Golden Bears are currently ninth in the country in scoring with 40.7 points per game. Quarterback Jared Goff has had a great season by throwing for 3,398 yards with 30 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Junior running back Daniel Lasco has rushed for 882 yards and a team-high 11 touchdowns.
