On Saturday afternoon, the South Carolina Gamecocks (4-5) will try to snap their two-game losing skid when they visit the Florida Gators (5-3). The Gamecocks were able to edge out the Gators 19-14 at home last season.

In their last game, South Carolina lost for the fourth time in their last five games when they were defeated 45-42 in overtime by Tennessee. The South Carolina's defense gave up 645 in that loss, including 344 rushing yards.

The Gamecocks have struggled on the defensive side of the ball this year, giving up 34.1 points per game to their opponents. Quarterback Dylan Thompson has had a pretty good season by throwing for 2,588 yards with 22 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. Running back Mike Davis has 819 rushing yards on the year with eight scores.

Florida scored 17 fourth-quarter points against Vanderbilt last weekend to help them get the 34-10 road win. Their defense was excellent in that game, holding Vanderbilt to just 83 rushing yards and forcing four turnovers.

So far this season, the Gators have been able to score 30.5 points per game while only giving up 22.9 points per game. Running back Matt Jones has been Florida's best offensive player by rushing for 698 yards with five touchdowns. Junior quarterback Jeff Driskel has 928 passing yards on the year with six touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
