The San Diego State Aztecs (5-4) will go on the road on Saturday night to take on the Boise State Broncos (7-2) in a game that will feature two very good rushing teams. The Aztecs are currently in first place in the MWC West, while the Broncos are second in the MWC Mountain.

Last Saturday, San Diego State won their fourth consecutive home game when they were able to defeat Idaho 35-21. In that win, they had 405 yards of offense and were 9-for-14 on their third down chances.

The Aztecs have had one of the best defenses in the country this year by only giving up 20.2 points per game. Running back Donnel Pumphrey has been very solid for them by rushing for 1,216 yards with 13 touchdowns. Quarterback Quinn Kaehler has thrown for 1,483 yards with seven touchdowns, but he has also thrown eight interceptions.

Boise State won their fifth game in a tow last Saturday when they beat New Mexico 60-49 on the road. Their offense was on fire in that win, putting up 367 passing yards and rushing for 291 yards.

The Broncos have been able to rush for 208.4 yards per game and they are scoring 37.7 points per game. Running back Jay Ajayi has averaged five yards per carry and has 1,146 yards with 14 touchdowns. Wide receiver Shane Williams-Rhodes has caught 56 passes for 485 yards and six scores.
