The Wisconsin Badgers (10-3) will be taking on the Auburn Tigers (8-4) in the Outback Bowl on Thursday afternoon in a battle between two of the top 15 rushing teams in the nation. Wisconsin finished the regular season in the top spot in the Big Ten West standings, while Auburn was fourth in the tough SEC West.

Wisconsin were outscored 38-0 in the first half by Ohio State earlier this month and ended up losing 59-0 in the Big Ten title game. They turned the ball over four times in that loss and allowed Ohio State to gain 558 yards against them.

In 13 games this season, the Badgers have been able to rush for 314 yards per games, which is fourth-best in the country. Running back Melvin Gordon has been one of the best players in the country this year by rushing for 2,336 yards with 26 touchdowns.

In their final regular season game, Auburn was defeated by rival Alabama 55-44 on the road. They lost that game despite outgaining Alabama 630-539 and forcing three turnovers.

The Tigers have been able to rush for 258.5 yards per game this season while averaging 35.8 points per game. Quarterback Nick Marshall has thrown for 2,315 yards this year with 18 touchdowns and just seven interceptions, and he has also rushed for 780 yards with 11 more scores.
