The Old Dominion Big Blue and the North Carolina State Wolfpack will both be going for their second wins of the season when they face each other on Saturday night.

Old Dominion opened their season against Hampton last Saturday and used a dominant first half to hold on for a 41-28 win. ODU were clearly the better rushing team in the game, gaining 188 yards on the ground while holding Hampton to just nine rushing yards. Their defense also forced Hampton into four turnovers.

Old Dominion wide receiver Zach Pascal was his team's best player in the win, catching eight passes for 99 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Gerard Johnson had 22 carries in the game for 137 yards and one touchdown, while Cam Boyd had four carries for 37 yards and two scores.

In their opening game, North Carolina State needed a late comeback against Georgia Southern to win the game by the score of 24-23. It didn't seem like NC State was into the game for the first three quarters and went into the final period down 20-10. The Wolfpack gave up 438 yards on the night, including 246 rushing yards.

Despite not playing very well in their first game, the Wolfpack did get a good performance from quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who threw for 291 yards and three touchdowns in the win. Running back Shadrach Thornton rushed for 73 yards on 10 carries.
