On Saturday afternoon, the Oklahoma State Cowboys (5-6) will try to end their long losing skid when they go up against the #18 Oklahoma Sooners (8-3). Last season, the Sooners were able to defeat the Cowboys 33-24 on the road.

Oklahoma State lost their fifth game in a row two weeks ago when they were beaten 49-28 by Baylor on the road. Their defense allowed Baylor to gain 579 yards against them, including 317 yards on the ground alone.

The Cowboys have struggled on defense this season, giving up 31.7 points per game to their opponents. Their best offensive player has been running back Desmond Roland, who has rushed for 579 yards and a team-high eight touchdowns. Quarterback Daxx Garman has thrown for 2,041 yards with 12 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

In their last game, Oklahoma dominated Kansas at home, winning 44-7 for their second victory in a row. Their defense was great in that win, holding Kansas to just 84 passing yards and 19 rushing yards.

Through 12 games, the Sooners are rushing for 265.4 yards per game while scoring 39.3 points per game. Samaje Perine has been one of the best running backs in the country this season by rushing for 1,428 yards with 19 touchdowns and averaging 6.7 yards per carry. Quarterback Trevor Knight has 2,197 passing yards on the year with 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
