The New Mexico Lobos (3-6) will be going on the road on Saturday afternoon to face the Utah State Aggies (7-3), who have won three games in a row. Utah State was able to easily beat the Lobos 45-10 last season.

Last weekend, New Mexico scored just seven points in the second half of their game against Boise State and ended up losing 60-49 on their home field. They did have 505 rushing yards in that game, but their defense ended up giving up 658 yards.

Through nine games, the Lobos have struggled in most areas, but they are fourth in the country in rushing with 326.3 rushing yards per game. Running back Jhurell Pressley has gained 872 yards on the ground this season with 11 touchdowns. Sophomore Teriyon Gipson has rushed for 631 yards with seven scores.

Utah State's defense was excellent in their game against Wyoming last Friday, which helped them pull off a 20-3 road win. They did have 206 rushing yards in that game, but they were only 2-for-10 on their third down opportunities.

Utah State has been able to score 26.8 points per game this season while only giving up 19.2 points per game. Their top offensive threat has been wide receiver Hunter Sharp, who has caught 54 passes for 870 yards and seven touchdowns. Quarterback Darell Garretson has 1,140 passing yards with eight touchdowns and just three interceptions.
