On Saturday afternoon, the #11 Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-1) will be going for their fourth consecutive win when they face the #22 Wisconsin Badgers (7-2). Nebraska and Wisconsin are tied in first place in the Big Ten West standings right now.

Nebraska have a very good offensive performance against Purdue two weeks ago, but they still picked up an easy 35-14 win. Their defense played well in that win as Purdue was only able to convert two of their 16 third down chances.

Through nine games, the Cornhuskers have rushed for 280.7 yards per game while scoring 40.4 points per game. Nebraska has had one of the best running backs in Ameer Abdullah, who has rushed for 1,250 yards with 17 touchdowns this season. Wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp has caught 33 passes for 600 yards and four scores.

Last weekend, Wisconsin won their fourth consecutive game when they went on the road and beat Purdue 34-16. They held Purdue to just 230 total yards in that win, which included just 26 yards on the ground.

The Badgers currently have the third-best defense in the nation by only giving up 14.3 points per game to their opponents. Running back Melvin Gordon is currently one of the favorites for the Heisman trophy by rushing for 1,501 yards with 19 touchdowns. Backup running back Corey Clement has also had a good season by gaining 720 yards on the ground with seven touchdowns.
