The Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-3) will try to snap their two-game losing skid when the face the Iowa Hawkeyes (7-4) on Friday afternoon. Iowa was able to win this matchup by the score of 38-17 last season.

Last Saturday, Nebraska was unable to score in the fourth quarter of their game against Minnesota and was beaten 28-24 on their home field. Their defense gave up 416 yards in that loss, including 281 yards on the ground.

The Cornhuskers are currently 15th in the country in rushing with 256.2 yards per game on the ground. Running back Ameer Abdullah has had a great season this year by rushing for 1,417 yards with 18 touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp has caught 39 passes for 653 yards and a team-best four touchdown receptions.

In their last game, Iowa had their comeback come up just short and were beaten 26-24 by Wisconsin at home. They lost that game despite gaining 412 yards and only turning the ball over once.

Iowa's defense has carried them this season by only giving up 22.8 points per game to opposing offenses. Junior quarterback Jake Rudock has had a good year by completing 64.2 percent of his throws for 2,174 yards, 14 touchdowns and just four interceptions. Running back Mark Weisman has 720 yards through 11 games and he has rushed for a team-high 14 touchdowns.
