The Navy Midshipmen will have a slightly easier opponent on their hands this week when they take on the Temple Owls on Saturday afternoon.

Navy had to deal with the then-ranked #5 Ohio State Buckeyes last weekend and ended up losing 34-17. They were within three points of the Buckeyes midway through the fourth quarter, but Ohio State scored 14 unanswered points to finish them off. The Midshipmen did rush for 370 yards in the loss, but they also gave up 420 total yards.

In that game, Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds threw just four passes, but he did rush for 42 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Williams-Jenkins led the Midshipmen in rushing by totaling 118 yards on just seven carries. Senior safety Parrish Gaines had an interception in the losing effort.

Temple played very well in their game against Vanderbilt last Thursday and ended up winning 37-7. The Owls' defense forced seven turnovers in the game and held Vanderbilt to just 278 total yards, including just 54 yards on the ground. Temple committed just three penalties in the game for a total of 23 yards.

Temple quarterback P.J. Walker threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns in the win, while rushing for 21 more and another score. Defensive back Tavon Young had two interceptions in the game, while wide receiver Brandon Shippen had two catches for 60 yards and one touchdown.
