The Navy Midshipmen (5-5), who have won three out of their last four games, will go on the road on Friday afternoon to take on the South Alabama Jaguars (6-5). Navy easily beat the Jaguars 42-14 at home last season.

In their last game, Navy had an easy time moving the ball against Georgia Southern, coming away with a dominant 52-19 home victory. They had zero turnovers in that win and were able to rack up 394 yards on the ground.

Through 10 games, the Midshipmen are second in the nation in rushing with over 350 yards per game on the ground. Their top rusher has been quarterback Keenan Reynolds, who has 963 rushing yards on the season with 17 touchdowns. Running back Noah Copeland has averaged 8.5 yards per carry this year and has scored three times.

Last Saturday, South Alabama lost for the third time in their last four games when they were routed 37-12 by South Carolina. They did not take care of the ball in that loss, finishing the game with five turnovers.

South Alabama's offense has struggled this year, but their defense has done well to hold opponents to just 24.4 points per game. Quarterback Brandon Bridge has 1,476 passing yards this season with 10 touchdowns and only four picks. Bridge's top target has been wide receiver Shavarez Smith, who has caught 44 passes for 634 yards and six touchdowns.
