The Missouri Tigers will have a trickier opponent than they did in their first game when they take on the Toledo Rockets on Saturday. The Tigers won this matchup by the score of 38-23 last season.

Missouri opened their season against South Dakota State over the weekend and were able to beat them 38-18 at home. The Tigers only amassed 178 yards in the win, but they made up for it by rushing for 215 yards. They also forced South Dakota State into committing three turnovers without coughing the ball up once themselves.

Tigers quarterback Maty Mauk may have only passed for 178 yards, but he was 13-for-21 in the game with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Running back Russell Hansbrough rushed for 126 yards on just 20 carries in the game and had one touchdown. Marcus Murphy had a 100-yard kickoff return in the win.

Toledo played New Hampshire over the weekend and were able to put up 666 yards of offense on their way to a 54-20 home win. The Rockets didn't turn the ball over in the game and their defense was able to hold New Hampshire to just 38 rushing yards.

Toledo quarterback Phillip Ely had a fantastic game in the opener by throwing for 337 yards and four touchdowns without an interception. Running back Kareem Hunt had 136 yards on the ground and crossed the goal line twice in the win.
