The Missouri Tigers (7-2) will be hoping that their solid defense will be able to handle the high-scoring Texas A&M Aggies (7-3) on Saturday night. The Tigers defeated the Aggies by the score of 28-21 last year.

In their last game, Missouri won their third in a row when they beat Kentucky 20-10 at home. Their defense held Kentucky to just 260 yards in that game, and they only allowed them to convert two of their 16 third down opportunities.

Through nine games, the Tigers have the 15th-best defense in the nation by only giving up 19.3 points per game. Sophomore quarterback Maty Mauk has thrown for 1,532 yards this season with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Running back Russell Hansbrough has averaged 4.8 yards per carry and has 591 yards with seven touchdowns.

Texas A&M picked up their biggest win of the season last Saturday when they beat then-#3 Auburn 41-38 on the road. They had 277 passing yards in that win and their defense was able to force three Auburn turnovers.

The Aggies have had one of the best passing games in the country this season by averaging 329.6 passing yards per game. Quarterback Kenny Hill has thrown for 2,649 yards through 10 games with 23 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. Josh Reynolds has been the team's top receiver by making 40 receptions for 621 yards and 10 touchdowns.
