The #4 Mississippi State Bulldogs (10-1) will probably need to pick up the win over the #18 Mississippi Rebels (8-3) on Saturday afternoon to be able to have any hopes of reaching the playoff. During the 2013 season, Ole Miss defeated Mississippi State 17-10 in overtime.

Mississippi State picked up their second shutout of the season last Saturday by routing Vanderbilt 51-0 at home. They had 502 total yards in that win and they finished the game with zero turnovers.

Ole Miss played their worst game of the season last Saturday when they were shut out 30-0 by Arkansas on the road. They turned the ball over a season-high six times in that loss, and they only ended up rushing for 63 yards.

Ole Miss has the number one ranked defense in the nation after only giving up 13.5 points per game through their first 11 games. Quarterback Bo Wallace has completed 62.8 percent of his passes so far this year for 2,789 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
