On Saturday, the Minnesota Golden Gophers will try to stay undefeated when they take on the tough passing attack of the TCU Horned Frogs.

Minnesota had a dominant first half against Middle Tennessee over the weekend and were able to hold on for a 35-24 win. The Golden Gophers' defense gave up 445 yards in the game, but they also forced Middle Tennessee into turning the ball over three times. Minnesota is currently ranked 29th in the nation with 233 rushing yards per game.

The Golden Gophers' top player so far this season has been running back David Cobb, who has 291 yards and two touchdowns through the team's first two games. Quarterback Mitch Leidner has passed for 211 yards, one touchdown and one interception this season.

TCU scored at least 10 points in all four quarters against Samford in its first game of the season and ended up winning 48-14 at home. The Horned Frogs gained 555 total yards in the win, including 200 on the ground, and their defense held Samford to just 143 yards.

In that opening win, TCU was led by junior quarterback Trevone Boykin, who threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns. Wide receiver Kolby Listenbee caught three passes in the game for 76 yards and two scores, while freshman running back Trevorris Johnson had 43 rushing yards and one touchdown on just eight carries.
