The Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-3) will be visiting the #21 Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-2) on Saturday afternoon in a game that will feature two of the better defenses in the country. In 2013, Minnesota beat the Cornhuskers 34-23 at home.

Minnesota's defense had a hard time stopping Ohio State last Saturday and they ended up losing 31-24 at home. The Golden Gophers only threw for 85 yards in that loss, while their defense gave up 489 total yards.

The Golden Gophers are averaging 30 points per game this season while only giving up 22.3 points per game. Senior running back David Cobb has been their best player by rushing for 1,350 yards with 11 touchdowns. Wide receiver Maxx Williams has caught 25 passes through 10 games for 373 yards and seven touchdowns.

Last weekend, Nebraska had their three-game winning streak come to an end when they were blown out 59-24 by Wisconsin. They only had 180 total yards in that loss and they turned the ball over five times.

The Cornhuskers are currently 12th in the nation in scoring by averaging 38.8 points per game. Senior Ameer Abdullah has been one of the top running backs in the nation this season by rushing for 1,319 yards with 17 touchdowns. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. has 1,889 passing yards with 14 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 588 yards with five more touchdowns.
