The Maryland Terrapins had an impressive offensive showing in their opening game, but they should have a harder time moving the ball when they face the South Florida Bulls on Saturday.

Over the weekend, Maryland played well on both sides of the ball against James Madison in their opening game and ended up winning 52-7. The Terps ended up with 471 yards in that game, including 285 on the ground alone. They also held James Madison to just four third down conversions in 19 attempts.

The Terrapins were led by senior quarterback C.J. Brown, who had 11 passing yards with one touchdown, as well as 61 rushing yards with three more scores. Running back Brandon Ross had 16 carries in the win for 86 yards and one touchdown.

Western Carolina may have been the easiest team on South Florida's schedule, but it ended up being a tough game for the Bulls, who pulled off the 36-31 win. Both teams had over 450 total yards in the contest and South Florida only converted four if their 13 third down attempts.

Easily the star of the show for South Florida was freshman running back Marlon Mack, who had three touchdown runs of over 50 yards and finished the game with 275 yards and four scores. Quarterback Mike White was just 9-for-26 passing for the Bulls for 181 yards and one interception.
