The Louisville Cardinals (7-3) will try to pull off the upset when they visit the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (7-3) on Saturday. This will be the first football game between these two schools.

Two weeks ago, Louisville held Boston College scoreless in the fourth quarter and was able to pull off a 38-19 road win. They gained a total of 423 yards in that win, while their defense was able to force Boston College into committing four turnovers.

Louisville's defense is a major reason why they have a winning record this season, as they have only allowed opponents to score 17.8 points per game against them. Sophomore quarterback Will Gardner has 1,669 passing yards this season with 12 touchdowns and just three picks. Running back Brandon Radcliff has 445 rushing yards with a team-high eight touchdowns.

Notre Dame played well at the start of their game against Northwestern last weekend, but they ended up being upset 43-40 in overtime. They rushed for 211 yards in that loss, but they also had four big turnovers.

Through 10 games, the Fighting Irish are 15th in the country in passing by throwing for 304.4 yards per game. Wide receiver William Fuller has had a breakout season by catching 61 passes for 853 yards and 13 touchdowns. Quarterback Everett Golson has 3,044 passing yards with 27 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 339 yards with eight more scores.
