The solid passing attack of the Colorado State Rams (10-2) will be facing the #22 Utah Utes (8-4) in the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday afternoon. The Rams ended up in second place in the MWC Mountain, and the Utes were fifth in the Pac 12 South.

Colorado State suffered just their second loss of the season in their final road game when Air Forced edged them 27-24. They lost that game despite ended up gaining nearly 100 more total yards than Air Force.

The Rams finished the regular season with the eighth-best passing game in the country by throwing for 326.3 yards per game. Quarterback Garrett Grayson has led that passing attack by throwing for 3,779 yards with 32 touchdowns and just six interceptions. Grayson's top target has been wide receiver Rashard Higgins, who has caught 89 passes for 1,640 yards and 17 touchdowns.

In their last regular season game, Utah was able to hold Colorado scoreless in the fourth quarter to help them pick up a 38-34 road win. The Utes were 10-for-18 on their third down chances and ended up with 439 total yards in that win.

During the season, the Utes scored 30.2 points per game while giving up 26.2 points per game to their opponents. Junior running back Devontae Booker has played well through 12 games by rushing for 1,350 yards and nine scores.
