The Iowa Hawkeyes (6-3) will attempt to move up the Big Ten standings on Saturday afternoon when they visit the Illinois Fighting Illini (4-5). Iowa and Illinois are currently fourth and sixth in the Big Ten West, respectively.

Iowa played their worst game of the season last Saturday when they were blown out 51-14 by Minnesota on the road. They had just 205 total yards in that loss and they ended up turning the ball over three times.

The Hawkeyes have their defense to thank for their winning record after they gave up just 23.4 points per game in their first nine games. Running back Mark Weisman has only rushed for 542 yards this season, but he has also been able to score 14 touchdowns. Quarterback Jake Rudock has thrown for 1,653 yards with 10 touchdowns and four interceptions.

Illinois had a hard time moving the ball against Ohio State in their last game and ended up getting pummeled 55-14. They turned the ball over four times in that loss and they finished with just 243 total yards.

The Fighting Illini have had one of the worst defenses in the country by giving up 36.7 points per game to their opponents. Quarterback Wes Lunt has 1,569 passing yards this season with 13 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Running back Josh Ferguson has been able to rush for 552 yards with six scores.
