On Saturday, the Indiana Hoosiers (3-6) will be hoping they can end their long losing skid when they go up against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-4). The Hoosiers and the Scarlet Knights are at the bottom of the Big Ten East standings right now.

Last Saturday, Indiana lost their fourth straight game when they were defeated 13-7 by Penn State at home. They only had 68 passing yards in that loss and they were just 3-for-17 on their third down chances.

The one thing that the Hoosiers do quite well is run the ball, averaging over 260 rushing yards per game. Their best player has been running back Tevin Coleman, who has rushed for 1,371 yards this season with 11 touchdowns. Quarterback Nate Sudfeld has thrown for 1,151 yards this year with six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Rutgers lost their third game in a row two weeks ago when they were shut out 37-0 by Wisconsin. They only had 139 total yards in that game, including just 63 yards through the air.

The Scarlet Knights are scoring 24.2 points per game this season while giving up 29.4 points per game. Their biggest offensive threat has been wide receiver Leonte Carroo, who has 41 receptions on the season for 808 yards and six touchdowns. Quarterback Gary Nova has 1,995 passing yards through nine games with 14 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
