The Indiana State Sycamores and the Ball State Cardinals will both be trying to move to 2-1 when they go up against each other on Saturday afternoon .

This past Saturday, Indiana State played a complete game against Tennessee Tech and easily won the game by the score of 49-14. The Sycamores put up 543 yards in that game and their defense was able to hold Tennessee Tech's offense to just 166 total yards.

Indiana State quarterback Mike Perish went 26-for-34 through the air in their win for 383 yards and three touchdown passes. Running back LeMonte Booker carried the ball just nine times in the game, but he was able to gain 77 yards and score three times. Receiver Gary Owens caught six passes for 199 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Ball State gave up two late touchdowns to Iowa in their second game of the year and ended up losing 17-13. The Cardinals were only able to put up 219 total yards in the loss, and their only touchdown in the game came from their defense when they recovered a fumble and scored.

Ball State running back Jahwan Edwards didn't have as good of a game as he did in the team's first game, but he did rush for 81 yards on his 21 carries. Quarterback Ozzie Mann was just 15-for-30 against Iowa for 129 yards.
