The #6 Georgia Bulldogs will play their first SEC game of the year on Saturday afternoon when they take on the #24 South Carolina Gamecocks. Last season, the Bulldogs beat the Gamecocks 41-30 at home.

In their opening game two weeks ago, Georgia beat the then-ranked #16 Clemson Tigers 45-21 at home. They had 459 yards in that win, which included 328 rushing yards. Their defense was also solid by holding Clemson to just 88 yards on the ground.

Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley had 293 all-purpose yards, in his team's opening win, which set a school record. He had 198 rushing yards and three touchdown runs in the win, while also returning a kickoff 100 yards for another score.

South Carolina was able to pick up its first win of the year last weekend by defeating East Carolina 33-23 at home. It was a pretty even matchup, with the Gamecocks gaining 441 yards and East Carolina putting up 453 yards. South Carolina has passes for 316 yards per game this season, but they are also giving up 37.5 points per game.

Gamecocks quarterback Dylan Thompson has 632 passing yards through his team's first two games with five touchdowns and two interceptions. Wide receiver Nick Jones has caught 10 passes for 157 yards and two scores, while running back Mike Davis has rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns.
