In the Idaho Potato Bowl on Saturday afternoon, the Western Michigan Broncos (8-4) will be taking on the Air Force Falcons (9-3), who won five of their final six regular season games. The Broncos were third in the MAC West this season, while the Falcons ended up in fourth place in the MWC Mountain.

Western Michigan had their six-game winning streak come to an end in their final home game when Northern Illinois beat them 31-21. Western Michigan had six turnovers in that loss and they only ended up rushing for 91 yards.

During the regular season, the Broncos averaged 264.8 passing yards per game and scored 34.6 points per game. Quarterback Zach Terrell has 3,146 passing yards on the year with 23 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Wide receiver Corey Davis has 70 receptions for 1,232 yards and 12 touchdowns, while running back Jarvion Franklin has rushed for 1,525 yards and 24 scores.

Air Force finished their regular season by winning five of their final six games, ending with a 27-24 victory over Colorado State. The Falcons rushed for 242 yards in that game and they only committed one penalty.

In 12 games this season, the Falcons were eighth in the country in rushing by gaining 272.2 yards per game on the ground. Running back Jacobi Owens is leading the team in rushing with 1,054 yards and five touchdowns.
