On Friday, the East Carolina Pirates (7-3) will probably be looking forward to their next game when their highly-rated offense faces the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (2-9), who have one of the worst defenses in the country. East Carolina blew out the Golden Hurricane 58-24 at home last season.

East Carolina snapped their two-game losing skid last weekend when they blew out Tulane 34-6 on the road. Their offense had no problems moving the ball in that win, finishing with 497 total yards.

East Carolina has one of the best passing games in the nation this season by averaging 367.3 passing yards per game. Senior quarterback Shane Carden has had a very good season by throwing for 3,574 yards with 21 touchdowns and just five picks. Wide receiver Justin Hardy has 89 receptions through 10 games for 1,106 yards and eight scores.

Tulsa lost their second game in a row last Saturday when they were defeated 38-28 by Houston on the road. They were able to gain 416 yards in that loss, but they also turned the ball over three times.

Through 11 games, the Golden Hurricane have had one of the worst defenses in the country by allowing opponents to score 38.4 points per game against them. Their best offensive player has been wide receiver Keevan Lucas, who has caught 95 passes for 1,134 yards and 11 touchdowns.
