On Saturday, the Duke Blue Devils will try to follow up their impressive effort in their opening game with another win when they face the Troy Trojans. Duke beat the Trojans 38-31 last season at home.

Over the weekend, Duke showed why they came into the season as a borderline ranked team by beating Elon 52-13 at home. They had a good mix of passing and running in that game and ended up with 567 total yards. They held Elon to just 328 yards and also went the entire game without committing a turnover.

Senior quarterback Anthony Boone led the Blue Devils to the win by throwing for 247 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Jamison Crowder caught seven passes in the game for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Backup quarterback Thomas Sirk rushed for 52 yards and two scores for the Blue Devils.

Troy were expected to have a pretty easy game against UAB last Saturday, but instead they took a 48-10 beating. They only gained 272 yards in the loss, including just 71 yards on the ground. Their defense allowed UAB to put up 338 rushing yards in the game and 490 total yards.

Sophomore running back Jordan Chunn had the Trojans' only touchdown in their game over the weekend, but he only ended up with 11 yards on eight carries. Quarterback Brandon Silvers was 17-for-24 in the game for 162 yards and no touchdown passes.
