The Central Michigan Chippewas and the Purdue Boilermakers will both be going for their second wins when they face each other Saturday afternoon.

Central Michigan outscored Chattanooga 13-0 in their game last weekend to pull off the 20-16 win. Central Michigan didn't have the best offensive showing in the win, but they were able to force four turnovers while only losing the ball once themselves.

Chippewas quarterback Cooper Rush completed 15 of his 26 passes in that game for 173 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Thomas Rawls had 121 rushing yards and one touchdown on 25 carries, while receivers Jesse Kroll and Courtney Williams each had a touchdown grab in the win. Cornerback Tony Annese had two interceptions for the Chippewas.

Purdue hosted Western Michigan in their opening game last Saturday and came away with a 43-34 victory. Purdue relied heavily on their rushing attack and ended up with 226 yards on the ground alone. One of the key reasons why they were able to hold on to win was that they didn't turn the ball over in the game.

Senior running back Raheem Mostert was the Boilermakers' top performer in that game by rushing for 146 yards and a score on 22 carries. Junior defensive back Frankie Williams had an interception in the game and returned it 56 yards. Kicker Paul Griggs made all three of his field goal attempts, including a 51 yarder.
