On December 30th, the Louisville Cardinals will take on the Georgia Bulldogs in the Belk Bowl at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Louisville Cardinals posted a solid 9 - 3 record this season and will look to post 10 wins for the 3rd straight season with a victory over Georgia.  The Cardinals could have easily gone undefeated this season but they seemed to get in their own way in each of their three losses.   That type of play never results in wins but it can give a team lessons that will help them avoid unnecessary losses in the future. The Cardinals did finish the year with three straight wins and if they can play the type of game that they are capable of, they could get their 4th straight victory with a win over Georgia.

The Georgia Bulldogs also went 9 – 3 on the year and another win will end the season on a high note.  The Bulldogs (just like the Cardinals) let some mistakes cost them an undefeated season.   When you let games get away from you, it forces teams to try just a little harder to shake off those losses.  That could mean two things for the Bulldogs.  On one hand, they could turn in a great performance and finish the year with a win.  On the other hand, the Bulldogs could try so hard that they commit the same mistakes that led to the three losses.  Either way, the end result will weigh heavily on Georgia’s prospects for next season.
