On Saturday afternoon, the Ball State Cardinals and the Iowa Hawkeyes will both be looking to move to 2-0 when they face each other in Iowa City.

In their first game of the season, Ball State was able to beat Colgate 30-10 at home thanks to a well-rounded offensive game. They had 514 total yards in that win, including 311 on the ground. They were also 8-for-16 on third down attempts, while holding Colgate to just two third down conversions in 13 attempts.

Cardinals running back Horactio Banks may not have had a touchdown in the game, but he did rush for 134 yards on just 13 carries. Wide receiver KeVonn Mabon was able to catch 11 passes in the win for 110 yards and one touchdown.

Iowa had a hard time holding off in-state rival Northern Iowa despite being big favorites, but they did end up winning the game by a score of 31-23. Iowa allowed 380 passing yards in the game, but they forced two turnovers and were helped out by Northern Iowa committing 16 penalties in the game that resulted in 128 yards.

Hawkeyes junior quarterback Jake Rudock went 31-for-41 through the air in the win for 250 yards and two touchdowns. Senior wide receiver Kevonte Martin-Manley caught eight of those passes for 62 yards, while fellow receiver Jake Duzey had seven catches for 34 yards.
