On Saturday night, the #9 Auburn Tigers (7-2) will try to hang to to their slim hopes of reaching the playoffs when they face the #16 Georgia Bulldogs (7-2). The Tigers were able to defeat the Bulldogs 43-38 at home last season.

Auburn lost their second game of the season last Saturday when they were defeated 41-38 to Texas A&M at home. They did have 582 yards of offense in that game, but three key turnovers led to the loss.

Through nine games, the Tigers are eighth in the country in rushing with 286.4 rushing yards per game. Running back Cameron Artis-Payne has averaged 5.7 yards per carry and has 1,190 yards with nine touchdowns. Quarterback Nick Marshall has thrown for 1,576 yards with 14 touchdowns, and he has rushed for 698 yards with 11 more scores.

Georgia moved the ball with ease against Kentucky last weekend and rolled to a dominant 63-31 road win. In that game, they had 305 rushing yards and they converted all eight of their third down opportunities.

The Bulldogs currently have the seventh-highest scoring team in the nation with 43 points scored per game. Quarterback Hutson Mason has had a good year by throwing for 1,515 yards with 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Wide receiver Chris Conley has caught 25 passes for a team-high 443 yards and five touchdowns.
