The Army Black Knights will get to see just how good their rushing attack is on Saturday night when they go up against the tough defense of the #15 Stanford Cardinal.

Over the weekend, Army was able to open up its season with a 47-39 home victory over Buffalo. The Black Knights' defense did give up 401 passing yards in the game, but they did force three turnovers. Army's offense gained 341 rushing yards on the ground alone in the win.

Easily the best player for the Black Knights in their opening game was senior running back Larry Dixon, who rushed for a career-high 174 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Terry Baggett rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown on just six carries in the game.

Stanford's tough defense showed up to play against USC over the weekend, but they didn't get much help from their offense and ended up losing 13-10 at home. The Cardinal did have 413 yards of offense in the loss, but their only touchdown came in the second quarter of the game. Stanford has only given up 6.5 points per game, which ranks them fourth in the country.

Cardinal quarterback Kevin Hogan has completed 73.9 percent of his passes so far this year for 489 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Senior wide receiver Ty Montgomery has caught 14 passes for 160 yards and one score.
