On Thursday night, the Arizona Wildcats will look to move to 2-0 when they take on Conference USA contender UTSA. Arizona beat the Roadrunners 38-13 at home early on last season.
Arizona did just about everything right in their game against UNLV last week. They beat them 58-13 on their home field after putting up 787 total yards, which broke the school record for a season-opener. After that fantastic opener, the Wildcats currently sit in the top 10 in the country in both rushing yards and passing yards.
Wildcats quarterback Anu Solomon had 425 yards and four touchdowns in the win last Friday, while running back Terris Jones-Grigsby added 124 yards on the ground with one rushing touchdown. Senior wide receiver Austin Hill had three receptions for 110 yards and a touchdown.
UTSA held Houston to just one touchdown last Friday and came away with the 27-7 win. UTSA only had 121 passing yards in the win, but they held Houston to just 208 total yards and forced them into six turnovers. UTSA won despite committing 14 penalties in the game for 115 yards.
Roadrunners running back David Glasco II rushed for 81 yards in the game with two touchdowns. Quarterback Tucker Carter didn't have a great game (15/24 for 121 yards and no touchdowns), but he did well to control the game and did not commit a turnover.
