The #7 Arizona State Sun Devils (8-1) will try to keep their playoff hopes alive on Saturday night when they take on the Oregon State Beavers (4-5). The Sun Devils were able to defeat the Beavers 30-17 last year.

Last Saturday, Arizona State won their fifth game in a row when they beat Notre Dame 55-31 at home. Their defense held Notre Dame to just 41 rushing yards and forced them into committing five turnovers.

So far this season, the Sun Devils are throwing for 283.7 yards per game and scoring 36.7 points per game. Running back D.J. Foster has 821 rushing yards with six touchdowns, and he has also caught 39 passes for 462 yards and two more scores. Quarterback Taylor Kelly has 1,234 passing yards on the season with 12 touchdowns and only three interceptions.

Oregon State lost their fourth straight game last weekend when they were beaten 39-32 by Washington State at home. They did have 456 yards of offense in that loss, but they were just 4-for-12 on their third down opportunities.

The Beavers are in the bottom 15 in rushing this season by only gaining 108.6 yards per game on the ground. Senior quarterback Sean Mannion has completed 63.9 percent of his passes this season for 2,437 yards, 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. Running back Terron Ward has rushed for 548 yards this year with nine touchdowns.
