The Kansas State Wildcats (9-3) will be taking on the UCLA Bruins (9-3) in the Alamo Bowl on Friday night in a battle between two very good passing teams. The Wildcats and the Bruins both finished the regular season in third place in their conferences.

In their final regular season game, Kansas State was beaten 38-27 by Baylor on the road. Their defense played one of their worst games of the year in that one, allowing Baylor to pass for 412 yards against them.

The Wildcats have thrown for 283.2 yards per game this season and are 24th in the country in scoring with 35.8 points per game. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett has had a great season by catching 93 passes for 1,351 yards and nine scores.

UCLA had their five-game winning streak snapped when Stanford beat them 31-10 in their final regular season game. The Bruins had just 262 yards of offense in that loss and only converted on five of their 14 third down opportunities.

The Bruins are currently in the top 40 in most offensive categories, but their defense has given up 27.5 points per game. Junior quarterback Brett Hundley has completed 70.4 percent of his passes this season for 3,019 yards, 21 touchdowns and just five interceptions. Hundley has also rushed for 548 yards and leads the team with eight rushing scores.
