On Saturday night, the #4 Alabama Crimson Tide (7-1) will be facing the #14 LSU Tigers (7-2) in a game that will feature two of the best defenses in the nation. Last year, Alabama was able to easily beat the Tigers 38-17 at home.

Alabama scored 20 first-quarter points against Tennessee in their last game and ended up coming away with a 34-20 road victory. They had 286 passing yards in that win and they converted on 11 of their 15 third down opportunities.

The Crimson Tide currently have the second-best defense in the country by giving up just 14 points per game to their opponents. Senior quarterback Blake Sims has completed 65.5 percent of his passes for 2,034 yards, 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Star wide receiver Amari Cooper has caught 71 passes for 1,132 yards and nine touchdowns.

In their last game, LSU picked up their third win in a row by edging Ole Miss 10-7 at home. They did have four turnovers in that game, but their defense did well to hold Ole Miss' offense to just 313 total yards.

Through nine games, the Tigers have scored 32.8 points per game while only giving up 15.9 points per game. Their best offensive threat has been running back Leonard Fournette, who has rushed for 657 yards and seven touchdowns. Wide receiver Travin Dural has 27 receptions on the season for 676 yards and seven touchdowns.
