Montreal Alouettes Stats
Montreal has just 61 points through their first four games this season and they are currently at the bottom of the league in possession time with just 26.4 minutes of possession per game. They also have the worst rushing team in the league right now with just 219 rushing yards and they've only been able to pick up one rushing touchdown. They haven't been much better on the defensive side of the ball, giving up 123 points per game and only taking down the opposing quarterback a total of four times.
26-year-old quarterback Jeff Matthews looks to be the Alouettes' starter for now after throwing for 396 yards with a touchdown and an interception through his first three games this season. The team's top receiver has been Chris Williams, who has 15 receptions for 283 yards and one score. Their go-to running back has been Tyrell Sutton, who has averaged 4.4 yards per carry and has scored one touchdown.
On the defensive side of the ball, veteran lineman Jamaal Westerman has arguably been the team's top performer by picking up two sacks to go along with his 18 tackles. Young defensive back Branden Dozier has also had a good start to the year, picking up 28 total tackles and sharing the team lead in interceptions with one.

No defense in the league has been able to stop Calgary's offense so far as they are currently ranked in the top two in the league in points, passing yards, rushing yards, and possession time. Their defense has been even better as they've only given up a total of 38 points through four games and they are at the top of the rankings in sacks with 13.
Calgary's Bo Levi Mitchell has been one of the top quarterbacks in the CFL so far this season, throwing for 1,038 yards with seven touchdowns and just two picks. His top target has been Kamar Jorden, who has caught 20 of the 30 passes that have come his way for 271 yards and two touchdown receptions. Running back Don Jackson is currently second in the league in rushing with 396 yards and he has run for two scores.
Sixth-year defensive lineman Micah Johnson has been great for Calgary this year, picking up a team-high four sacks and also grabbing one interception. Linebacker Alex Singleton hasn't been able to take down an opposing quarterback yet, but he does lead the team with 25 total tackles and he also has one forced fumble.
