Hamilton Tiger-Cats Stats
Hamilton is ranked near the top of the league in many of the major statistical categories. On offense they are third in scoring, third in passing yards, fourth in rushing yards, and fourth in turnovers allowed. They are almost just as good on the defensive side of the ball, giving up just 26 points per game and forcing 11 team fumbles. They have struggled to pick up sacks, though, as they are near the bottom of the league with just 22.
Hamilton quarterback Jeremiah Masoli has been one of the top signal callers in the league this season by connecting on 67.2 percent of his passes for 4,286 yards and 21 touchdowns while also rushing for 430 yards and two more scores. Wide receiver Brandon Banks has also had an excellent year so far by catching 78 passes for 1,112 yards and nine touchdowns. Their top rusher has been Alex Green, who has 467 yards on the ground with seven touchdowns.
Tiger-Cats veteran defensive end Ted Laurent is having another solid season by coming up with 14 tackles and a team-high six sacks. Defensive back Cariel Brooks has 42 tackles and three interceptions and he is tied for the league lead in forced fumbles with three.
Toronto Argonauts Stats
The Argonauts have had a very hard time coming up with consistent play on either side of the ball. Their offense is currently ranked near the bottom of the league in scoring, passing yards, and possession time, and they have the worst rushing attack in the CFL this year. Their defense hasn't been much better, ranked second from the bottom in points allowed while also ranking last in both sacks and interceptions.
Toronto quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson, who has been one of three quarterbacks getting regular reps for the team this year, has thrown for 2,007 yards with nine touchdowns and nine interceptions. The team's leading rusher has been second-year running back James Wilder Jr., who has rushed for 691 yards and three scores while averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Veteran S.J. Green has been Toronto's top receiver by catching 62 passes for 791 yards and three touchdowns.
The Argonauts' defense has been led by defensive lineman Cleyton Laing, who has 38 total tackles, one fumble recovery, and a team-high five sacks. Fellow lineman Justin Tuggle has also had a pretty solid year so far by coming up with 49 total tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. The team's top defensive back has been Alden Darby, who has two interceptions, a sack, and 48 tackles.
