Calgary Stampeders Stats

Even though Calgary is known mostly for its defense right now, its offense has been pretty solid as well. The Stampeders are currently fifth in the league in scoring with 93 points and they have done a great job of taking caring of the ball, ranking second in the league in possession time. Their defense, though, has been the talk of the CFL this season after only giving up a total of 35 points through their first three games of the year.

Veteran quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell has been great for Calgary through three games, throwing for 872 yards with six touchdowns while completing 60 percent of his passes. Mitchell's top target has been Eric Rogers, who has 11 receptions for 201 yards with three touchdowns. Rookie running back Don Jackson is currently third in the league with 294 rushing yards and he has scored two touchdowns.

Calgary's top ball hawk has once again been linebacker Alex Singleton, who currently has 19 total tackles to go along with a forced fumble. Veteran defensive back has eight tackles, one interception and one sack to start the season, while defensive lineman Ja'Gared Davis has 10 tackles and leads the team in sacks with two.

Ottawa Redblacks Stats

The Redblacks are currently in the middle of the league in scoring with 82 points, but they are near the top of the league in both passing yards and passing touchdowns. They have struggled a bit running the ball, though, picking up a total of 376 rushing yards through their first three games. Their defense hasn't been quite as good as Calgary's, but they've only given up 59 points so far and they have four interceptions, four forced fumbles, and 11 pass knockdowns.

Ottawa quarterback Trevor Harris has had a good start to the year in his seventh campaign, throwing for 822 yards with five touchdown passes and just two picks. Harris has been spreading the ball around through his team's first three games, with Brad Sinopoli picking up 21 catches for 262 yards and a score, and Greg Ellingson catching 19 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown.

Second-year defensive lineman Michael Wakefield has been the team's top impact player on the defensive side of the ball, taking down the quarterback three times in just three games. Defensive back Rico Murray is already has more interceptions (2) than he did the last three years for the team, while fellow DB Antoine Pruneau leads the Redblacks in total tackles with 14.
