Washington Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg will be on the mound on Saturday night when they take on Gerrit Cole and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Stephen Strasburg pitched well enough to pick up the win against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, but he ended up with a no decision. He pitched seven strong innings in that start and allowed just two runs on six hits while striking out four and walking just one. He now has a 3-3 record on the year and has struck out 10.9 batters per nine innings.

First baseman Ike Davis has done well against Strasburg in his career by going 4-for-13 with two home runs. Gaby Sanchez has just two hits in 12 at-bats against the right-hander.

23-year-old Gerrit Cole won for the fourth time on the season when he beat the New York Yankees on the road last Sunday. He allowed three runs in six innings of work in that start while striking out eight and walking two. He now has a 4-3 record on the year and a decent 3.84 ERA with 53 strikeouts through 58.2 innings.

Cole has faced Washington one other time in his career and beat them by going seven innings and allowing just one run on two hits. Catcher Wilson Ramos is the only current Nat who has gotten a hit off of the young right-hander.
