Right-hander Stephen Strasburg (8-10) will be looking to bounce back from his rough outing last week when he and the Washington Nationals go up against Dillon Gee (4-4) and the New York Mets on Thursday night.

Last Friday, Stephen Strasburg had one of his worst starts of the year when he was beaten by the Atlanta Braves on the road. He went five innings in that game and allowed seven runs on seven base hits while striking out nine and walking two. His ERA is now up to 3.68 on the season and he has struck out 186 batters in 156.1 innings of work.

Mets first baseman Lucas Duda is 1-for-4 against Strasburg in his career and is the only Met who has been able to hit a home run off of the right-hander. Ruben Tejada is just 2-for-13 against him with four strikeouts.

Dillon Gee had a very good outing against the Philadelphia Phillies last weekend, but he took a no decision rather than a win. He gave up just one run in seven innings that day while walking three batters and striking out four. Through 14 starts, he has a 3.54 ERA and he has only given up 71 hits in 89 innings on the mound this season.

Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond is just 7-for-25 against Gee in his career, but he has hit three home runs off of him. Danny Espinosa has just one hit in 13 at-bats against Gee with three strikeouts.
