Jordan Zimmermann (7-5) hasn't lost a game in four starts and will look to extend that streak when he and the Washington Nationals go up against veteran Bartolo Colon (11-9) and the New York Mets on Wednesday.

Last Thursday, Jordan Zimmermann had a pretty good outing against the New York Mets and ended up with a no decision. He pitched 6.1 innings in that game and allowed three runs on seven base hits while striking out five batters and walking no one. He has a solid 3.06 ERA on the season and he has struck out 126 batters in 138.1 innings.

Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy has 16 hits in 44 at-bats versus Zimmermann with five doubles, three home runs and eight RBI. Lucas Duda is just 5-for-24 against him with two walks and six strikeouts.

Last Friday, Bartolo Colon pitched eight strong innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on the road and came away with his 11th win of the year. He gave up just one run on six hits in that outing and struck out six batters while walking zero. His ERA is now 3.97 on the season and he has only walked 20 batters in 154.1 innings on the mound.

Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond has three hits in six at-bats versus Colon with two home runs and three RBI. Outfielder Denard Span has no hits in 10 at-bats against him with three strikeouts.
