Sunday afternoon, the Washington Nationals will give the ball to Stephen Strasburg (12 -11, 3.34 ERA) as they take on the Miami Marlins and Nathan Eovaldi (6 -12, 4.48 ERA).  It will be the 33rd start for Strasburg and the 32nd for Eovaldi.

Eovaldi has lost 6 of his last 7 starts and hasn’t won a game since early August.  In his last 10 starts, he is just 1 – 6.  Last season, Eovaldi posted a record of 4 – 6 with a 3.39 ERA in 18 starts.

In 2013, Eovaldi went 1 -2 with a 6.00 ERA in 3 starts against Washington.  In 2 starts this season against the Nationals, Eovaldi is 1 - 0.
