On Monday night, All-Star Jordan Zimmermann will be hoping that he can pick up his first win of July when he and the Washington Nationals face right-hander Nathan Eovaldi and the Miami Marlins.

Jordan Zimmermann didn't have his best stuff going against the Colorado Rockies last week and ended up with a no decision for his efforts. He pitched five innings in that game and allowed four runs on eight hits while walking no one and striking out six. On the season, the All-Star pitcher has a 6-5 record with a 3.20 ERA and he has only given up nine home runs in 118 innings.

Giancarlo Stanton is one player who has hit Zimmermann well over the years, going 7-for-24 against him with a double, three home runs and six RBI. Catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia is just 1-for-7 against him with five strikeouts.

Nathan Eovaldi lost his second straight game last Wednesday when he was beaten by the Atlanta Braves on the road. He went seven innings in that game and allowed five runs on six hits while walking two and striking out two. On the year, the right-hander is now 5-6 with a 4.20 ERA, but he has only walked 26 batters in 130.2 innings.

Nats first baseman Adam LaRoche gas five hits in his 11 at-bats versus Eovaldi in his career with a double, a home run and four RBI.
