In an Interleague matchup on Tuesday night, All-Star Jordan Zimmermann will try to pick up his seventh win of the season when he and the Washington Nationals face Colorado Rockies rookie Eddie Butler in his second Major League outing.

Right-hander Jordan Zimmermann had a rare off game his last time on the mound when he was beaten by the Philadelphia Phillies on the road. He pitched just 3.1 innings in that game and gave up four runs on six hits while walking no one and striking out five. Zimmermann us now 6-5 on the season with a 3.03 Era and he has only given up seven home runs in 113 innings.

Rockies outfielder Drew Stubbs is just 1-for-13 against Zimmermann in his career with a walk and five strikeouts. DJ LeMahieu has three hits in six at-bats against him with one RBI.

In his first game in the majors, Eddie Butler pitched 5.1 innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers and ended up picking up his first big league loss. He allowed six earned runs on 10 hits in that game while striking out two batters and walking three. Butler threw 53 of his 87 pitches for strikes that day and he induced 13 ground balls.

Before being called up, Butler was 4-5 with a 3.35 ERA in the minors and he only gave up three home runs in 78 innings of work.
