On Wednesday night, Tanner Roark will be looking to end his two-game losing streak when he and the Washington Nationals take on Wei-Yin Chen and the Baltimore Orioles.

Last Friday, right-hander Tanner Roark pitched seven decent innings against the Chicago Cubs at home, but he ended up losing his sixth game of the year. He gave up four earned runs on nine hits in that outing while striking out five batters and walking one. Roark has a 7-6 record this season and has only given up eight home runs in 106.2 innings.

The Orioles will be facing Roark for the first time on Wednesday night. So far, he has held left-handed hitters to just a .223 batting average this year.

Left-hander Wei-Yin Chen was able to pick up his eighth win of the year when he defeated the Texas Rangers at home last Thursday. He pitched six innings in that game and gave up just two runs on six hits while walking two and striking out four. In 98.1 innings this season, Chen has given up 110 hits, but he has only walked 18 batters.

Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper has two hits in five at-bats against Chen with a triple and two RBI. First baseman Adam LaRoche is 2-for-3 against him and is the only player on the Nats who has hit a home run off of him.
